When Bone Made initially met with our Wyndora Avenue clients, their brief was simple - for the design to be timeless, the space to be maximised and the style to reflect a luxurious coastal scheme.

Beginning with the bathroom - originally dated and confined – we advised a full renovation to fulfil our client’s brief. We demolished it back to its original structure, significantly optimising the space. This also increased the flow of natural lighting and allowed for functional and practical storage solutions.

To ensure the selection of finishes retained their longevity, we specified a simple white and grey colour palette, integrating timber tones to enhance warmth and welcoming. The height of the raked ceiling was emphasised with the addition of a custom 1200mm diameter mirror. This added wow factor, reflecting more light.  Woven pendant lighting and a wall hung Blackbutt timber vanity matched with floating shelves instilled warmth. The final touches of greenery and crafted accessories, such as a hand-carved wooden stool, pulled the scheme together.

To refresh the bedroom, we re-painted using ‘Natural White’ by Dulux. This was chosen as a subtle contrast to the new Caverlier Bremworth’s Lisburn carpet in ‘Damask’. Oversized bamboo pendants were selected for their earthiness, and to throw patterned light in the evenings. A selection of greenery in earthenware pots, monochrome scatter cushions and a striking bone and bead necklace were added, balancing allure and comfort.

The study nook was the final space requiring refinement. We designed a simple, clean-lined American Oak desk that was then custom-built by a local joiner. This was paired with floating shelves to fill with beloved books and display decorative accents.

Overall, the rooms now exude a sense of calm and invite our clients to slow down and luxuriate in their space.

Our very dated 90’s style ensuite was in dire need of an upgrade and so we engaged Bone Made to give us some ideas and inspiration. It soon became apparent that our original layout was cluttered and cumbersome with a step-up spa bath that overtook the entire room.

Leah and Fliss suggested a total renovation that included, as its centrepiece, a new bespoke handmade wooden vanity with double handbasins and Caesarstone top. Floating wood shelving affixed to the walls were built to match, and a larger open shower recess, free standing bath and toilet were added.

The stunning large, round mirror accentuated the style and helped to create a spectacularly fresh and modern look. We were absolutely thrilled with the final result – so much so, we then decided to refresh our main bedroom to suit.

Leah and Fliss’ professionalism throughout the entire project was to be commended and they worked with us continually to create the look and feel that we wanted.”
