Earthy Interiors

Sydney Interior designer

We love earthy interior schemes for the home. Textural wall finishes, raw and natural materials such as timber and stone, warmer colour palettes (think soft, neutral or Autumn hues for that pop of colour) organic shapes with laid back, minimalist styling and spaces drenched in natural light. We have compiled a few of our favourite ‘earthy’ looks, along with a couple of tips on how to bring a little more earthiness into your home in cost effective ways.

Textured Walls

Textured walls | Our tip on achieving a cost effective textured wall look is the ‘Murowash + sand’ finish by Murobond. A blend of finely grained mineral flat paint and sand mixed together to create a subtle textured finish, similar to render. Check out the beautiful Murowash + sand finish in the new Mr and Mrs White’s new showroom in Manly.

Earthy spaces we love

An earthy scheme creates a feeling of zen, cosiness and comfort. To create an earthier scheme throughout your home, select a mixture of textures (think woven rugs, recycled timber and stone), select a lighter colour palette, use low lying furniture, lots of greenery and keeping styling and decorative accents to a minimum to eliminate clutter.
