Drawing inspiration from the coastal views, natural sun light and lush surrounds, Bone Made redefined this 1950’s retro style Family home and transformed it into a light, airy, enticing family home. The clients’ wanted the space to feel relaxed and uncluttered; to reflect their outdoorsy, beachy lifestyle - so the concept created for the renovation was ‘Minimalist Coastal’.

Proving that cosmetic upgrades can make all the difference, Bone Made salvaged a few key yet beautiful existing features of the home being the old brick fireplace and the retro style timber panelling in the entry.

The fireplace was re purposed and brought back to life with white v-groove panelling and a charcoal stone slab applied to the base to allow some contrast and depth. The timber panelling on entry was painted a crisp white and the vintage tiles and red carpet throughout the level were replaced with an oak engineered floor board to lift the space and bring in some timber tones for warmth.

A muted colour palette and a mix of woven textures were selected by Bone made to style the home and allow that lived in, paired back, minimalist coastal vibe throughout.
